Wine-bag acknowledges that being environmentally friendly is of great concern to many people and industries in today’s uncertain climate. To help make things better, we want to contribute towards reducing our carbon foot-print and hence global warming. We certify that our complete range of gift bags and boxes are made from 100% recyclable material and whilst we strive to continue with our quality we will also realise the need to act responsibly and use more sustainable products wherever possible |

To show how much we value the environment and its needs, Wine-Bag has decided to donate 1% of their total Christmas turnover to the Tree for All foundation: (www.treeforall.org.uk). This organisation is a new movement that gives children the chance to take action today and understand nature a lot better. Their aim is to plant 12million trees in the UK starting from September 2004 and is the equivalent of planting one tree for every child under the age of 16. Or put in a more modern context, if all the trees were planted together they would fill 18,000 football pitches. |

Did you know that 35 to 40% of our trash is made up of paper products. Also that for every one ton of paper wasted, we use up approximately thirteen fully mature trees |

In light of the above information, Wine-bag want more people to utilize their products and be more environmentally aware. We want you to get more out of our boxes and bags so you can continue to use them for as long as they are in usable condition. |

Ways to Re-Gift |

- Use our range of gift bags made from solid colours or with generic patterns for multiple occasions. Our bags are ideal gifts to be used for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, dinner parties, baby shower, engagements and many more functions. With our exceptional quality our bags can be passed on from person to person and this way you are cutting down the waste of throwing a gift bag away. Remember we have multiple sized bags for 1. 2 and 3 bottle gifts and they do not have to be limited to bottles, they can also take objects such jars, tins, food depending on the size.

- If your bags are finally on their last legs, you do not need to trash or throw them away. See the list below for things to use them with if you take them apart:

- Arts and crafts material for decoration, or better still hand these to your local primary or secondary schools who can use them for project work.

- Most people will look at our name and assume that we only do boxes for wine. However, if you stop for a minute and take out our foldable and removable inserts you will find a lot of space to box many gifts and not just bottles. From food to consumer products. Just remember that cardboard is a man-made sustainable, and recyclable product that is always going to stay around. Just in the same way that our bags can be passed from person to the next, with our sturdy and trendy boxes they can be used again, again and again.

- One big advantage of cardboard is that it is a good component to be used in the developing area of waste to energy, thus creating fuels and power from waste products. It can release almost twice as much heat per pound of waste and does not give off any toxic poisons and its only off-product is ash.

- Card is ultimately biodegradable and compostable. The following are alternate uses once it is no longer needed:
- Animal bedding, as long as it is shredded before-hand.
- Home insulation for in-between walls or the attic.
- Like bags, they can be cut and used as decoration pieces
